Here for Fair, Dies Suddenly

Miss Lorna King Had Planned to Make Exhibit at County Fair

Arriving in the city Tuesday morning to attend the Alpena count fair which opens today, Miss Lorna King, aged 25 years, of Wilson township was taken suddenly ill and died this morning without regaining consciousness, at the home of her sister, Mrs. Frank Petherick, 125 Fair Avenue.

Miss King had long been planning on coming to Alpena to be present at the fair. She had done many pieces of fancy work and other things she was to exhibit.

Miss King was one of the most estimable young women of Wilson township, where she was born and where she spent the greater part of her life. She was well liked and respected by everyone and the news of her death is received with profound regret.

She is survived by her parents, Mr. And Mrs. William King of Wilson township, one sister, Mrs. Petherick, at whose home she died, and one brother, Harold, of Wilson.

The body will be taken to her late home in Wilson Thursday morning and the funeral will be held from there Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock. Rev. Voller of the Free Methodist church officiating. The funeral will be private.
